The U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday ruled that states can require the remains of aborted unborn babies to be buried or cremated, upholding part of a 2016 Indiana law that was signed by then-Gov. Mike Pence.
The goal of the new, strict Alabama abortion law is to potentially overturn Roe v. Wade. The law would penalize abortion doctors, and it contains no exception clauses, except for the life and health of the mother.
Two unlikely advocates, both pro-abortion attorneys, called the indictment of pro-life activists David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt “deeply disturbing” and a potential threat to the “vital” work of undercover journalists and activists.
