A USA Today writer condemned the NCAA for allowing Oral Roberts University's team to play in the NCAA Basketball tournament because of the school's biblical views on marriage. Over the weekend, the university’s president responded by sharing that the school simply believes in biblical morality and always has. He added that the school considers such morality to be best for all its students, faculty, and alumni. In other words, ORU embraces biblical morality because such morality promotes "the basic values of human decency."

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary President Albert Mohler warned that the recent USA Today column labeling Oral Roberts University as "bigoted" should serve as a warning to Christians and faith-based institutions everywhere of the direction in which society is heading.

A writer for USA Today’s "For the Win" sports section, argued in a Tuesday column that the "university's deeply bigoted anti-LGBTQ+ policies can't and shouldn't be ignored."

The legalization and growth of online gambling has coincided with the legalization of recreational marijuana. This is no coincidence. After all, laws are mostly downstream from the larger culture, and these laws do far more to expand personal license. Rather, they reflect and reinforce an unmistakable message, especially to young men, to aim low, to think short-term thoughts about life and the world, to pursue immediate gratification, and to not aspire to too much.
