Riley Gaines and a coalition of 15 other current and former college athletes sued the NCAA in federal court Thursday, alleging the body violated their Title IX and constitutional rights.

The transgender debate is becoming all-encompassing. Issues such as education, law, government, entertainment all fall in the crosshairs of the transgender debate, and our culture moves with such speed that working out how to respond seems overwhelming, if not impossible.

So here are five essential things for Christians to keep in mind as we think about and speak about transgenderism.

Another case of a teen taken from home over pronoun usage.

It isn’t hard to see that we are living in a time where confusion and brutal attacks on our identity are running rampant. The gap between a Biblical view and a secular view of sexuality seems to be growing wider by the day. 

The head coach at a private Christian school in Vermont is speaking out after the state booted his girls’ basketball team from state-sponsored tournaments because the school refused to participate in a girls’ sports competition with a biological male.

Male and female are real and binary, a nonnegotiable truth discernible by science, taught in the Bible and written in creation. Denying the reality and relevance of sexed bodies as trans activists do is profoundly anti-scientific. It is notable that even a scientist famous for denying the God who made us male and female can see this.  

Fran Itkoff spent 60 years of her life volunteering for the MS Society because her late husband suffered from multiple sclerosis. However, she noted that a problem arose when she realized people were listing their “preferred pronouns” on correspondence for the nonprofit, but she didn’t understand what that meant.

According to new polling data by the University of California, the number of students identifying as transgender and non-binary have tripled in the past four years.
