Ted Turner is a pathetic figure. I do not say that with malice, but with sadness. After calling some CNN employees "Jesus freaks" for attending Ash Wednesday services, Turner issued another one of his apologies. But he's apologized before after saying similar things.
Turner then goes to Harvard where he receives the prestigious Goldsmith Career Award for Excellence in Journalism from the John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Would any university have given Turner, or anyone else, an award for slighting gays, or blacks or women? You had better believe they would not. Yet one can always slander and malign Christians and face no penalty whatsoever.
Stuart Varney, the excellent co-host of CNN's "Moneyline," resigned in disgust over Turner's "Jesus freaks" remark. Good for him. But the entire network continues to sink because of its commitment to liberal bias and anti-Christian ideas. No wonder FOX News channel continues to grow. We should pray for Ted.
