The Double Standard Against Christian Ideas

If ever there was a double standard, consider this. In London, a Christian group seeking to promote the idea that homosexuals -- like all sinners -- can change tried to buy an ad on buses and subways. The public transportation authorities have permitted a campaign by a group favoring same-sex marriage but have banned ads from the Christian group with a different point of view.

The gay rights crowd isn't the only powerful lobby. London Metropolitan University is considering a ban on alcohol from some parts of its campus because its growing Muslim student population considers alcohol "immoral."

Do you see how this goes? The Christian idea of morality is to be censored in favor of the homosexuals and the Muslim idea of immorality is to be tolerated and promoted.

Does anyone else see this as upside-down thinking? Try imposing anything Christian in a Muslim nation and see how far you get. This is what happens when any nation, including ours, forgets God. It creates a vacuum that other ideas are all too ready to fill.

I'm Cal Thomas.
