Root Causes

August 10, 2006

Once again we are hearing the phrase “root cause” in comments by President Bush and others for the war between Hezbollah – an agent of Iran – and Israel.

Let me save everyone a lot of time – the root cause of this war and, indeed, of the worldwide threat posed by terrorism is that they hate us, they believe their false god wants everyone killed who doesn’t agree with them and they are coming after us. Already we’re hearing reports of Hezbollah sleeper cells in the U.S. and increasing Hezbollah activity in South America, of all places.

Their objective is to kill us, to ruin our economy and to eliminate Israel and America, establishing a worldwide caliphate. I don’t make this up to scare you. They say that is their goal.

Instead of understanding the root cause of their anger, I want to see them defeated, humiliated and eliminated. That’s the way we used to treat our enemies and it is why the United States was once feared. Not anymore. Now we seek to understand and find root causes, when we should be eliminating them before they eliminate us.
