We know that all journalists are tolerant and want to listen to many ideas from different perspectives, right? Not exactly.
At the annual television critics gathering in Pasadena, California, FOX News channel President Roger Ailes was scheduled to speak. It’s FOX’s tenth anniversary. Did the critics eagerly look forward to his presentation? Were they ready to reverse themselves on the prediction many of them made a decade ago that FOX News would fail? Nope. According to the TV critic for the Miami Herald, about two-thirds of them left the room before Ailes took the stage. Glenn Garvin writes that several of them openly voiced their scorn for what they say is FOX News’ conservative spin.
And the critics say FOX is biased? I think this unbelievable walkout demonstrates the bias of the critics. Garvin also reports several FOX News panels resembled hand-to-hand combat rather than the news conferences they were supposed to be.
The liberal critics hate FOX because it exposes their biases everyday. That’s why FOX’s ratings are higher than CNN and MSNBC combined. I am happy to work there.
