Media Aids Liberals in Fight Against Bush

The Federal Reserve says the U.S. economy has turned the corner and with a few exceptions is recovering nicely. Now my question is, will the big media start reporting on this positive conclusion, or will it focus on the few places where sluggishness remains? Do you have to ask?

Remember when the stock market tamed after 9/11 and democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) focused on the elderly who were losing their life savings? Have you seen a single report how the elderly and everyone else in the stock market made money in the last quarter, and some, a lot of money?

Of course not, because that would make President Bush look good and the last thing the liberals want is for that to happen. They are so afraid that those of them who have lived by the courts will die by the courts if Bush wins re-election and names conservative judges to the federal bench, especially the Supreme Court.

It's just another day in unfair and unbalanced Mediaville. Watch my Fox news channel show Saturday night at 11 p.m. Eastern for comments by new Republican Chairman Ed Gillespie.

I'm Cal Thomas in Washington.
