Government Shutdown and Obamacare Week in Washington

It's government shutdown and Obamacare week in Washington. The talk from the left is about those Republicans who refuse to compromise. That means giving in to Democrat demands and policies. If you are a Republican, like Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, who were elected to cut spending and stop Obamacare, you are supposed to roll over and then get run over by the Democrat left juggernaut. Democrats don't have to compromise, because they are the compassionate party with our money they wish to redistribute.

The failure of government programs is obvious on many levels. Take the post office, which wants an emergency 3-cent increase in stamp prices, which will drive even more people away. Then there is Detroit, which Democrats have bankrupted with one-party rule. Federal, state and local governments are about to throw $300 million at the city to rescue it from blight and other consequences of their policies. It's a black hole and any improvements in Detroit will be temporary. The solution? Elect more conservatives, but human nature would rather get a check than earn one and the left gets this.
