There are stirrings of discontent in the Congressional Black Caucus. Congresswoman Maxine Waters of California asked people attending her speech at Wayne County Community College in Detroit for permission to have a “conversation” with President Obama about his policies affecting black people.
In what many are taking as criticism of the president, Waters said members of the Black Caucus were becoming increasingly tired and frustrated by Obama’s performance on jobs. Even as she expressed support for the president, she asked for the audience to “unleash us” to pressure Obama to act.
This means more spending on the perpetual underclass which remains an underclass because they won’t do what’s necessary to move out of the underclass. They can get jobs if they stay in school and don’t have babies at 14, stay out of gangs and change their attitude about life and hang out in church, not the street corner.
Politicians like Waters should unleash African-Americans from the bondage the welfare and entitlement mentality has put them in.
