Media Have Lost Perspective on Extent of Anthrax Scare

Anthrax! Are you scared yet? The media is engaging in an orgy not seen since Gary Condit and Chandra Levy. One person has died. All of the other cases are treatable and curable. But most of the media are behaving as if this were the blitz in London during World War II.

When the media are pre-occupied with a single dimension of a story, it makes you wonder what they are ignoring.

I'm not afraid for a number of reasons, primary among them is my certainty for heaven after my certain death. What difference does it make if that death comes today, tomorrow, or in 50 years?

The House shut down. TV anchors hold news conferences to announce they are soldiering on as if they were the Queen Mother who stayed in London during World War II.

Most of the country continues to live and work and play as before. They are a little more vigilant, perhaps, but they are not indulging in the orgy that has captivated the posturing elites.
