Helping Victims of September 11th December 28, 2001

Want to do something special to help some victims of September 11 who have been mostly overlooked?

The passengers and crew on United flight 93 that crashed into a Pennsylvania field are not eligible for funds going to victims of the World Trade Center. This plane was probably headed for another Washington target, possibly the Capitol, when Todd Beamer and others took control away from the hijackers.

Now, a group of spouses of members of congress has started a fund to help the relatives of those victims. It’s called the Capitol Heroes Campaign.

The money will go to the spouses and children of those who died on flight 93. You can get more details on the webpage www.capitolheroes.org. Capitol is spelled with an “o”, or by writing P.O. Box 66283, Washington, D.C. 20035. That’s P.O. Box 66283, Washington, D.C. 20035. Again, the web page is www.capitolheroes.org.

Give a little something if you can. Those brave people on that plane saved a lot of lives while giving their own. I’m Cal Thomas in Washington.
