President Obama wants $500 million to send 1,200 National Guard troops to the Arizona border with Mexico. They won't be stopping illegals from coming across. Oh no. They'll only be assisting authorities in trying to apprehend drug traffickers. So I guess if you're not trafficking in drugs, you'll be waved on in, is that it?
This is a political ploy designed to fool the public again. This president has no intention of stopping illegals because they represent a rich source of future votes for Democrats. If he was serious, he'd take that $500 million in borrowed money and hire the unemployed to finish the border fence. Fences work. A fence south of San Diego is working. A fence in Israel helped keep terrorists out.
I wish I could believe this president, but he is part of a Chicago political machine steeped in the philosophy of Saul Alinksy. The one promise we can believe is that he wants to drastically change America. He is doing that, but it's not for the better. And more troops who will eventually leave is a phony non-solution to the problem. Finish the fence and they won't come.
