As Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was concluding a press conference, a reporter yelled to California lawmaker, "Do you hare the president, Madame Speaker?" Pelosi, visibly upset, rebutted citing her Catholic upbringing. She said, "as a Catholic, I resent your using the word ‘hate’ in a sentence that addresses me,” she said. “I don't hate anyone."
