The woman who went viral last month for painting over a Black Lives Matter mural in New York City is addressing her actions as well as her thoughts on the Black Lives Matter organization.

In an interview with CBN News, activist and evangelist Bevelyn Beatty explained what was going through her mind before defacing the mural that was painted in front of Trump Tower.

"I have to paint this mural. I have to cover this mural," she told CBN News analyst David Brody. "I was so tired of this Black Lives Matter narrative...we're going to hit it. We're going to fight and we're going to stand and God is with me. And that was it."

Prior to coming to Christ, Beatty went through a rough upbringing, such as growing up on welfare, watching loved ones die and living a life of trouble. Seven years ago, Beatty was arrested on money laundering charges. It was during her time in jail that she would come to Christ after someone shared the Gospel with her.

"When I got out of jail, honey, you couldn't get me to steal a pack of bubble gum," she said. "You couldn't get me to do nothing."

Following her conversion, Beatty worked for “At the Well Ministries” as an anti-abortion Christian activist. Beatty also spoke against the Black Lives Matter organization as she believes that the group is doing more harm than good to Black people.

She noted how the group seeks to disrupt the “western prescribed nuclear family structures,” according to its creed.

"Black Lives Matter is against Black men because a man is truly not a man unless he's a leader in his own family," she said. "This is a portion of his identity because this is what God ordained from the beginning."

Despite the group’s pro-black stance, Beatty stated how they have stayed silent on other issues affecting black people such as abortion and black-on-black crime.

"The number one killer of black people is abortion,” she said. "We're killing ourselves."

"As black people, we're headed towards extinction,” she warned. “Black Americans won't exist no more by 2050 with the route that we're going because if we're not killing each other on the streets, we're aborting each other's babies.”

Beatty went on to add how Black Lives Matter is constantly using black people as a means to fulfill a political agenda for the Democratic Party, who helped launch the movement.

“They're using us, they've been constantly using us," she asserted. "We keep giving them the votes. That's why Joe Biden had the audacity to say, 'if you don't vote for me, you ain't black.'"

She added that Democrat-run cities have been overrun by violence and riots while its leaders want to defund the police.

In these unprecedented times, Beatty is calling for Christians to take a stand for the future of America and ultimately, for Jesus Christ.

"Christians have to recognize that if we don't stand up and smell the coffee, we are going to give away our freedoms and America is going to turn into a communist country," she said. "Once America turns into a communist country, the world will be communism and we will be back in the days of Noah.”

"I am a Christian, this is about Christianity, this is about Jesus," Beatty concluded. "They want Christians to shut up. They want us to bow … we're going to be shaking it up and letting people know Jesus is Lord and the only thing that matters is Jesus.”
