Miss North Dakota Gives Pro-Life Speech to State Senate

Miss North Dakota Macy Christianson is using her platform to advocate on behalf of the unborn. Christianson recently gave a speech in front of the North Dakota state senate about her work to prevent drunk driving, as well as her pro-life stance.

“I have immense respect for our state for having taken a stand for what I believe is right in regard to abortion,” Christianson told the senators, as reported by LifeNews.com. “I have had people tell me that North Dakota is against women and our rights. I have to disagree, because not only do we support our women but we support our women who are unborn and can’t speak for themselves.”

“Just that I can stand here and have a voice makes me grateful,” she added.

Local news reporter Rob Port praised Christianson’s courage in taking a pro-life stance--something that tends to be unpopular, especially for women of her generation.

“[K]udos to her for being willing to break out of the ideological mold liberals cast for women,” Port wrote. “I’m sure she’ll get some flak for thinking things the left feels women ought not think, but it’s high time we all stopped caring so much about the identity cages politicos try to herd us into.”

Christianson represented North Dakota in the Miss America pageant in 2016.
