On Saturday, Sadie Robertson Huff's daughter, Honey, was released from the hospital after battling Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).
"YALL WE GET TO GO HOME!!!! (YAY) 4 days in the hospital and this girl is happy to go home!" Robertson Huff told her 4.5 million followers on Instagram. She noted that Honey "is still very congested with a bad cough, but her oxygen was good enough to get better from home."
"We are so so grateful!" Robertson Huff continued. "Thank you for everyone who prayed for us we truly did feel your prayers! We didn't expect to come home today and so we are very happy. Thank you God!"
Robertson Huff, the granddaughter to Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson, also extended her prayers to parents who have kids in the hospital.
"I am praying that your grieving heart would feel held, your anxious heart would find a deep peace, and your sad heart would find joy in the little moments. Much love," she concluded.
While Robertson Huff and her husband Christian initially kept their daughter's health condition private, the couple decided to go public with it as a way to encourage parents going through similar situations with their children.
"To all the mamas and dads out there watching their child go through sickness I grieve with you," Robertson Huff wrote in a previous Instagram post.
"This is what we are declaring right now, "she said, citing Psalm 30:11-12 (MSG), which reads, "You did it: you changed wild lament into whirling dance; You ripped off my black mourning band and decked me with wildflowers. I'm about to burst with song; I can't keep quiet about you. God, my God, I can't thank you enough."
Robertson Huff, a bestselling author, speaker, and podcast host, has a new devotional book coming out Sept. 30 titled Live on Purpose: 100 Devotions for Letting Go of Fear and Following God.
Each entry features a personal story of Robertson's faith journey and offers practical tips for Christians about battling fears and living with confidence.
