Josh and Anna Duggar have announced that they are expecting their fifth child, two years after Josh Duggar was the center of two scandals.
In 2015, it emerged that Josh Duggar, the eldest child of the Duggar clan, had molested several underage girls, including a couple of his own sisters, when he was a teenager. Then, later that year, it was revealed that Josh had an account on the adultery website Ashley Madison and that he had been unfaithful to his wife, Anna.
Josh sought help for his sex addiction through attending Reformers Unanimous, a rehab facility in Illinois.
He has since reunited with his family, despite rumors that he and his wife were heading for divorce. Divorce no longer seems to be on the table, especially with the couple’s recent pregnancy announcement.
"For nearly the last two years, we have quietly worked to save our marriage, focus on our children, and rebuild our lives together as a family,” the couple wrote on the Duggar Family Blog. “Doing so is never easy after a breach of trust. We've learned that a life of faith and rebuilding a life together is simply done one day at a time."
"As we continue our journey as a family and rebuild our lives, we are delighted to share with you that we are expecting a new baby boy later this year. Beauty comes from ashes and we cannot wait to see and kiss the face of this sweet new boy!" they continued.
Josh’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, also posted about the new baby on their Facebook page: "Such a sweet announcement from Josh and Anna, our entire family looks forward to this sweet new blessing."
