Bobby Jindal Screens Undercover Planned Parenthood Videos for Pro-Choice Protesters

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal set up speakers and a huge movie screen on which pro-choice protesters could watch the undercover Planned Parenthood videos.

Jindal spearheaded Louisiana's decision to defund Planned Parenthood clinics in the state. He has received a lot of opposition to his decision, but remains firm in his convictions.

Protesters in support of Planned Parenthood organized a protest outside the Governor’s Mansion on Thursday, denouncing Jindal’s defunding efforts, The Blaze reports.

“By defunding Planned Parenthood, Jindal threatens health care services for more than 5,200 women, men and young people who rely on Medicaid for care at Planned Parenthood health centers in New Orleans and Baton Rouge,” Planned Parenthood Gulf States director Melissa Flournoy said Thursday.

Planned Parenthood only has two clinics in Louisiana, however, but has 67 Title X clinics, which, Breitbart reports, do not sell fetal body parts.

A statement from the Governor’s office explained the Governor’s decision to play the undercover videos on a continuous loop for pro-Planned Parenthood protesters to see.

“Many Planned Parenthood supporters, including President Obama and members of the White House, said they have not or will not view the horrific Planned Parenthood videos. Planned Parenthood has a right to protest today, but Governor Jindal’s office will ensure that anyone who shows up will have to witness first-hand the offensive actions of the organization they are supporting.”

Despite the opposition, Jindal stated, “We hope the protesters will take a minute to watch [the videos] so they’ll have an opportunity to see first-hand our concerns with Planned Parenthood’s practices,”

Jindal is a 2016 Republican presidential candidate.
