Focus on the Family Joins Community Groups to Host Wildfires Benefit

OneNewsNow.com reports that Focus on the Family joined with other community organizations in Colorado Springs to put on a July 4 benefit concert to help the thousands of people affected by the wildfires. In a recent "Exploring the Word" radio interview, Gary Schneeberger of the pro-family organization reported that the concert would feature the Colorado Springs Philharmonic and country singer Michael Martin Murphey, as well as local bands and other personalities. He said 100 percent of the money raised would go to support the Waldo Canyon Fire relief effort. "We're having the benefit concert ... on July 4th here in Colorado Springs," Schneeberger detailed. "[It's a] free concert. We're hoping to collect a lot of donations in order to raise money that will go directly to the fire victims." For more on this story, visit OneNewsNow.com.
