On Friday, Authorities in New Zealand fatally shot a suspected Islamic terrorist after he stabbed six people in an Auckland supermarket.

A retired Army lieutenant general who served as a national security advisor in the Trump administration is warning that Afghanistan will become a "new epicenter of jihadist terrorism" with the Taliban controlling it and the United States having withdrawn from the middle eastern nation.

Historians trace the Taliban’s origins to the early and mid-1990s, when Afghanistan was facing social upheaval after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The word “Taliban” means “students” in Pashto, one of the languages spoken in Afghanistan. The Taliban is a U.S.-designated terrorist organization. 

While Americans are understandably deeply concerned about our citizens remaining in Afghanistan under the Taliban, we should also be concerned about ourselves at home.

A new report from the U.S. Senate Finance Committee asserts that the humanitarian aid organization World Vision failed to properly vet a group it gave funds to. The group, the Islamic Relief Agency, has terrorist ties.

Pope Francis and French Catholics are calling for peace with Muslims following a series of terror attacks on Thursday that left three dead.

The Islamic State spokesman, a man poised to become the next terror leader of the group, was killed in Syria by U.S. forces, according to the U.S. State Department.

President Trump made an announcement Sunday morning that has dominated global headlines: “Last night, the United States brought the world’s No. 1 terrorist leader to justice. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead. He was the founder and leader of ISIS, the most ruthless and violent terror organization anywhere in the world.”

On July 17, an American Airlines Boeing 737-800 was approaching the departure runway in Miami and powering up its engines. Then the crew got an error message and aborted the takeoff.
