The Boko Haram terrorist group, which recently split, still killed 10 and kidnapped 13 more women and children from the Christian village of Chibok Saturday.
Parents of the kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls are pleading with the Nigerian government to enact a prisoner swap, releasing Boko Haram militants in exchange for the kidnapped girls.
“Widows are particularly vulnerable in NE Nigeria, the area most affected by the Boko Haram insurgency. For many, the loss of their husband is the beginning of hardship for them and their children, who may not then be able to get an education.
The increasing massacre of Christians in Nigeria has led one leader to warn that as many Christians have been killed in the country in the first half of 2016 as were killed in all of 2015.
