The Rev. Dun Gordy, 62, has many tales from his 30 years in the mission field. It has never easy, but always the adventure of a lifetime, according to a report in The Orlando Sentinel.
One tale Gordy shared is of a visit to Paraguay, when he had an encounter with a fierce-looking warlord; the man climbed in through the window instead of using a door. Gordy also commented on how "casual" the tribe was - including their attitude about wearing clothing - "They didn't."
Of particular surprise to Gordy was Papua, New Guinea; a place that has gone from "the Stone Age to the Jet Age in half a generation." Cannibalism can be exercised, but it's also a modern city with an international airport.
