Christian singer and songwriter Lauren Daigle is gearing up to release her self-titled album this month and is thanking fans for their support.
“This is my most precious project,” the singer said in a press release. “It’s got fun moments, solemn moments, extrovert moments and introvert moments. And I’m just thrilled about taking my songwriting further on this record than anything I’ve done previously”
Daigle took to Twitter on Tuesday to thank her fans for their encouragement and for sharing their own personal stories on her YouTube videos.
“Ok, ya’ll, I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for something particular,” Daigle said in the short clip. “The other day I was in New York City, and my friend Hannah was like, ‘Hey, why don’t we look at your videos on YouTube and see how they’re doing?’”
“A lot of ya’ll are sharing stories that are super personal, and it means a lot,” she said. “I’m genuinely encouraged, and it gives purpose as to why I’m releasing these songs. So thank you, thank you, thank you, I just want to say I’m grateful.”
Daigle said she “was so touched by people’s vulnerability” and kindness in the comments.
“Sometimes those places can be toxic and whatever, but ya’ll are so generous and so kind. And I want you to know that those comments mean a lot to me. They definitely encourage me,” Daigle added.

As reported by ChurchLeaders.com, Daigle’s new album is her first since leaving her previous record label, Centricity Music. She is now with Atlantic Records. Daigle will release the album in two parts, with the first 10 songs being released on May 12 and the second 10 coming out later this year.
In a recent interview with the New York Times, she expressed fear about the reception of her new album since it will include love songs not related to her Christian faith.
Daigle said she’s worried that people will assume that the songs are about her personal life rather than general collective experiences.
“I’m all about writing songs to help people through things they’re questioning,” she noted.
