'Forever Grateful': Pro-Life Leaders Celebrate Trump's Pro-Life Accomplishments

On Tuesday, several leaders of pro-life organizations expressed praise and gratitude for the Trump-Pence administration in their efforts to protect the sanctity of human life in the past four years.

According to The Christian Post, Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List published a statement thanking Trump for his pro-life efforts, including some of his final actions before completing his term.

““From the first day to the last, the Trump-Pence administration has prioritized the protection of innocent human life — setting the standard for future pro-life administrations,” Dannenfelser said. “We are forever grateful to President Trump, Vice President Pence, Secretary Azar, Secretary Pompeo, and all our administration allies for their extraordinary leadership and service to the most vulnerable of our nation.”

Dannenfelser’s remarks were featured in a press release published by Susan B. Anthony List along with several of Trump’s final pro-life actions. As Christian Headlines previously reported, Trump deemed Jan. 22 “National Sanctity of Human Life Day” on the same day of the 48th anniversary of Roe V. Wade.

Trump also issued an executive order calling for the founder of the March for Life, Nellie Gray, to be honored in the National Garden of American Heroes among other notable figures in American history.

Dannenfelser asserted that there’s a “clearer contrast” from Trump’s pro-life administration to “pro-abortion radicals like [President] Joe Biden, [Vice President] Kamala Harris, and Xavier Becerra [attorney general of California], who favor abortion on demand through birth and would force their fellow Americans to be complicit in abortion.”

“We are committed to defending the unborn from their extreme agenda as we work diligently to win back the House and Senate in 2022,” she asserted.

In a blog post on Tuesday, Tony Perkins, president of the conservative organization, Family Research Council, also thanked the Trump administration’s pro-life efforts as well as defending religious liberty.

“When Marine One carries Donald Trump away from the White House, America won’t just be losing a president. They’ll be losing an army of tireless pro-lifers, freedom fighters, and deeply committed patriots too,” he wrote.

Perkin’s post also included a link to a 12 page list of the Trump administration’s “accomplishments on life, family, and religious freedom” through October 2020. Amongst the listed accomplishments was Trump’s reinstatement of the Mexico City Policy, which prohibits taxpayer funding for international organizations that perform or promote abortions.
