Fires were set by rioters in front of a federal courthouse on Friday night in Portland, Oregon, as the city entered its 65th consecutive day of protests.
According to Breitbart, Ian Miles Cheong, the managing editor for Human Events, noted that Bibles were being burned outside of the federal courthouse.
"Left-wing activists bring a stack of Bibles to burn in front of the federal courthouse in Portland," Cheong wrote in a thread on Twitter.
He added, "I don't know what burning the Bible has to do with protesting against police brutality. Do not be under the illusion that these protests and riots are anything but an attempt to dismantle all of Western Civilization and upend centuries of tradition and freedom of religion," he concluded.

Journalist Andy Ngo backed Cheong’s claims writing, “Antifa protesters in downtown Portland have started burning American flags in the street. They are also burning Bibles.”

One post by global news network RT, shows people setting an American flag ablaze as it was laid on top of a Bible. Onlookers can be heard cheering and shouting “f*ck Trump!”

Another twitter user posted a video of several Bibles being burned together in a fire.

Additional footage shows a pig's head with a police hat atop it being set ablaze.
Portland police officers were not present during the incident as they had responded to a shooting in Montavilla neighborhood where more than 150 rounds were fired.
“One round struck an adult female victim in an arm,” according to the Portland Police Bureau. Responding officers applied a tourniquet and she was transported to the hospital by ambulance with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries have been reported to police, however bullets struck at least 8 occupied apartments and 7 vehicles (unknown if occupied).”
Ngo added that there has been “a large uptick in shootings & homicides in Portland since @tedwheeler abolished the Gun Violence Reduction Team.”

Last week, Oregon Gov. Ted Wheeler stated that he had federal officers removed from Portland amid “repeated requests.”
“These federal officers have acted as an occupying force, refused accountability, and brought violence and strife to our community,” he added.” Beginning Thursday, all Customs and Border Protection and ICE officers will leave downtown Portland, and shortly thereafter will begin going home.”
