On Saturday morning, pro-life activist Tayler Hansen, mirroring actions of Black Lives Matters activists, painted the words “Baby Lives Matter” in front of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah.

“With recent events unfolding, everybody knows about the Black Lives Matter murals unfolding around the nation. I thought I would bring awareness to one of the biggest human rights crises that nobody wants to talk about," Hansen told KUTV News.

Hansen created the mural around 1am Saturday morning with paint that would easily wash away in about 10 days. The mural, however, was removed later Saturday morning.

Turning Point USA Chief Creative Officer Benny Johnson posted several pictures of Hansen’s mural on Twitter.

“‘Baby Lives Matter’ painted on the street front of a Planned Parenthood in Salt Lake City overnight.” Johnson wrote in a Tweet on Saturday. “Once leftists opened up public roads for political speech it was only a matter of time before a conservative response.

“Expect more of this,” Johnson added.

Hansen also posted a video message regarding the mural on his Twitter account. The video currently has over 200,000 views.

“I’m making this video to raise awareness for one of the most egregious human rights violations that has not been properly addressed.” Hansen said.

“In 2019, abortion was the leading cause of death worldwide. Almost 43 million children were denied the most basic right of all: life. Which is why I felt inclined to demonstrate a true peaceful protest, dedicated to those without a voice,” Hansen added.

“This is the outcome”, he said, before showing multiple shots of the mural.

While the mural was inevitably removed, Hansen made it clear that this was not the end of his message.

“The mural has already been desecrated and erased to an extent … THIS IS NOT OVER!!”
