Chick-fil-A regularly tops lists as America’s favorite restaurant, and a new survey shows it’s the favorite among teenagers, too.
The “Taking Stock With Teens” survey by Piper Sandler has Chick-fil-A as the favorite restaurant among 15 percent of teens, followed by Starbucks (12 percent), Chipotle (7 percent), McDonald’s (6 percent) and Olive Garden (3 percent). It is a semi-annual survey.
The survey involved interviews with 14,500 teens between Aug. 12 and Sept. 23. It was the 44th such survey.
“Chick-fil-A remains the No. 1 restaurant,” an analysis said.
The chicken-themed restaurant has topped numerous surveys this year.
Chick-fil-A led the 2022 American Customer Satisfaction Index Restaurant Study for favorite restaurant with a score of 83, topping Jimmy John’s (79), Domino’s (78), KFC (78), Chipotle (77), Panera Bread (77), Pizza Hut (77) and Starbucks (77). That survey interviewed 20,143 Americans of all ages in March and April. Chick-fil-A has led the American Customer Satisfaction Index survey for eight consecutive years.
Chick-fil-A also finished No. 1 in categories for “friendliness” and “satisfaction with service” in the 22nd Annual Drive-Thru Study by Intouch Insight.
Founded by Christian businessman Truett Cathy in 1946, Chick-fil-A’s purpose statement is to “glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us” and to “have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A,” according to its website.
“Truett based his business on Biblical principles that he believed were also good business principles, and since 1982, our Corporate Purpose has guided all that we do,” the website says. “We keep our Purpose front and center because it helps us to steward our business and our work to positively influence everyone we meet.”
Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays.
“Our founder S. Truett Cathy made the decision to close on Sundays in 1946 when he opened his first restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia,” Chick-fil-A’s website says. “Having worked seven days a week in restaurants open 24 hours, Truett saw the importance of closing on Sundays so that he and his employees could set aside one day to rest or worship if they choose, a practice we uphold today.”
