Pastor, Wife Killed in Tragic Accident, 3 Children Survive

A Texas Pastor and his wife were killed in a tragic automobile accident in New Mexico, The Christian Post reports.

Kenny Comstock, executive pastor of Crossroads Church in Odessa, Texas and his wife, Melissa are survived by three children, Natalie (6), Camden (4) and 1-year-old Carver. According to New Mexico State Police statements given to San Angelo Live, "a 47-year-old Albuquerque man was traveling east on U.S. 380 when he crossed the center line and struck the Comstock's Ford pickup head-on. Pastor Kenny was pronounced dead at the scene, while his wife succumbed to her injuries at an area hospital."

The other driver was transported to the nearest hospital and it is unknown what condition he is in.

Crossroads Church released a Facebook statement following the news. "In moments like this we turn to the Word of God and 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, 'The Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles'" the statement reads. "Please pray for God's comfort for Kenny and Melissa's families as they mourn the loss of their son and daughter, brother, and sister. Continue to pray for their children, who are beginning life without their mom and dad."

Crossroads Church is a church in Odessa, Texas that focuses on evangelizing the local community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They also have a prayer ministry that prays for members of the church and everyone in the local community who submits a prayer request. At this time, it is unknown whom the new executive paster will be, but lead pastor Jeremiah Ramer is currently preaching sermons.

Their mission statement is “Connecting people with Jesus Christ and helping them become fully devoted followers of Him.”

They have a total of 4 campuses across Texas's Permian Basin with two services per day, according to their website.
