Pastor Tells Children in Local Mall That Santa Claus Does Not Exist

An unsuspecting crowd at an Amarillo, Texas mall received a sermon from 56-year-old David Grisham on Saturday. Grisham, the leader of “Repent Amarillo” and “Last Frontier Evangelism,” approached a line of children and parents who were waiting to see Santa Claus

“Kids, I want to tell you today that there is no such thing as Santa Claus,” he began. He continued, telling them that the man they were waiting to see was just someone dressed as Santa Claus because Santa Claus is not real. Instead, they needed to hear the truth that Christmas is about Jesus who was born 2016 years ago and died for them.

One concerned parent confronted Grisham and tried to push him away, prompting several other parents to join him. They told him that telling their kids about Santa is their decision, prompting Grisham to reply that they were lying to their children and sinning in the eyes of God.

Grisham calls himself the “Pastor” of Last Frontier Evangelism, a ministry he started with his wife, Tracy, to share the Gospel in Alaska. The couple recently moved to Anchorage for this ministry, but travel around the country to preach at their own expense.

The video, originally posted on Tracy’s Facebook page, begins with Grisham saying he was there to tell the children the truth about Christmas. Undaunted by the parents who asked him to “chill” and to leave, Grisham addressed one last message to the children in line. “Kids, there is no Santa! Santa’s not real! Your parents are lying to you! Don’t believe it!”
