Musician and Actor Nick Cannon recently called abortion provider Planned Parenthood to task, saying it takes part in “real genocide,” “modern day eugenics,” and “population control.”
His initial comments came during a November interview on the radio show, The Breakfast Club. While explaining why he didn’t vote for Hillary Clinton, he said, “Think about all the stuff they did with Planned Parenthood and all that type of stuff. That type of stuff is to take our community — and forget gentrification, it’s real genocide, and it’s been like that for years. This system is not built for us.”
Later in November, a SplashNewsOnline videographer asked Cannon about his comments as he walked through Los Angeles International Airport. He initially tried to sidestep the question, saying it would take too long to answer, but the videographer pressed him again. Cannon responded, “Yeah, modern day eugenics.” When asked if he would like to elaborate, he said, “Yeah, population control.”
Planned Parenthood has been under increased scrutiny since the Center for Medical Progress released undercover videos in 2015 that appeared to show Planned Parenthood workers negotiating sales for fetal tissue.
Ironically, the videographer asked Cannon about his Planned Parenthood comments after quizzing him about the baby he is expecting with Brittany Bell.
