World War Terrorism

April 19, 2007

Congressional Democrats and a few Republicans want to end the war in Iraq and bring the troops home soon. War critics claim the real war is in Afghanistan and not Iraq.

So that’s their plan for fighting the world war that confronts us. The war is in Afghanistan and nowhere else? What about the bombing by Islamic terrorists in Algeria last week, or the recent al-Qaeda terrorism in Somalia? What about the Philippines and Indonesia? Remember the London subway and bus bombings?

The war is in Afghanistan, but it isn’t confined to Afghanistan. The war is also here in America as the terrorists among us plot for another opportunity to inflict even greater damage than what they accomplished on 9/11.

The more we think this war is regional and geographical, the better it is for our enemies to further infiltrate and subordinate us to their crazed religion. Too many of us are in denial about the threat that confronts us. Our enemy isn’t in denial. He is planning new ways to kill us, ruin our way of life and take over. And that’s why it’s a world war.
