Will the Senate Stop at Nothing?

November 24, 2009

Did you pay attention to the debate over whether to move ahead with a Senate vote on so-called health care reform? Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana effectively sold her vote for $300 million.  It's for Medicare payments for her state, but it still looks like a bribe as she's in re-election trouble.

Next comes the vote on the bill itself. Debate is to take place starting November 30. The liberals are in control of government and they are attempting the greatest revolution in this country since 1776. Polls show a majority of the public want to slow things down and do not favor this bill. It doesn't matter. Secular liberals will have their way no matter what it takes and no matter what it costs.

This is the triumph of the '60s crowd which sees government as god and themselves as apostles. Can the liberals be stopped? I don't know. They are not paying attention to the public. What will make them? Watch for more bribes before the final vote. It is a disgusting display that ought to outrage everyone - and does - except for the politicians.
