In Christopher Marlowe's story about Dr. Faust, the scientist studied for years with unsatisfactory results. Frustrated, he engages in black magic and summons the devil. The demon, Mephistopheles, appears. Together they make a pact, whereby Mephistopheles offers to serve Faust for a period of time in exchange for the doctor's eternal soul.
This is the bargain a small majority of voters have made. Joblessness will continue high, especially among minorities who voted to re-elect President Obama. Energy will continue to cost more as the administration works to shut down coal plants and refuses to produce nuclear energy. Obamacare will mean less care for those in need, including seniors, a majority of whom may have sealed their own death warrant by voting for the president.
And younger people will pay for all of this in many ways. I don't see a reversal of fortune unless we either have a revival or a complete collapse of our economy. Everything is being set up for the Antichrist. Prophecy never looked more like the front page of newspapers.
