What to Make of the Wall Street Occupiers?

What to make of the Wall Street occupiers?

First, they are not on Wall Street.

Second, they are the usual suspects we have seen in various incarnations over the years -- socialists, communists, gay rights advocates, anarchists, the usual lot. These are people without jobs and no prospect for obtaining one. How do I know? Do you think any employer would allow an employee to take off work to demonstrate against the very system that gives him employment? Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!

The big media, of course, love this because it positions Republicans as the party of the rich and greedy. Demonstrators are interviewed by breathless anchors as if what they have to say is important. Of course the demonstrators say they will be voting for President Obama next year. Of course.

We know the game. We conservatives should choose not to play.

In San Antonio, Texas, I'm Cal Thomas.
