Some top house Democrats are proposing the pentagon close its detention camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and relocate many of the 385 suspected terrorists to the United States. Just what we need: more terrorists on our own territory and the U.S. legal system working to free them.
Then there are suggestions that some of the 700,000 people who have fled Iraq because of the violence be allowed to come to America. That’s another stupid suggestion. They would build their mosques and schools and some would join in the plotting of the destruction of this country.
This isn’t Vietnam, where we took in refugees without fear that any posed a communist threat. Does anyone seriously believe that letting more of these people into our country would not expose us to even greater danger?
House Minority Leader John Boehner is right when he says, “our goal in the fight against radical Islamism terrorism is to defeat our enemies – not to bring them to our cities and shower them with the same rights as American citizens.” Why don’t more people think like Boehner?
