Warning Signs of Things To Come

August 30, 2005

In scripture, we are told about the signs of the end of the age.

Too many people spend too much time on dates, which Jesus advised us not to do, but with events like the category five hurricane that has devastated New Orleans and is still a threat to many other places, we should pause and consider.

Jesus said when we see these things; they do not forecast an immediate end to the world as we have known it.

These are but warning signs of things to come.

The prophecy books and end times conferences that claim to know the date of the end are a waste of time and money.

Do you know why?

Jesus said he will return when we least expect him.

That means if we expect him right away, he is not coming. Men and women will grow worse and worse in their depravity and coldness towards the things of God.

Satan will deceive more and more and even some who claim to believe will fall away.

Only “the elect” will endure. Help those you can who are in need of aid with contributions to various relief agencies with an honest track record of dispensing funds.

But realize that hurricane Katrina and natural disasters like it are just the signs about which Jesus spoke.
