"Touched by an Angel" in Peril

All of us have a chance to strike a blow for good television this weekend. The long-running series "Touched By an Angel" is in danger of being cancelled by CBS. Yes, I know, some of you don't think it is doctrinally pure and it isn't. But it is entertainment that speaks favorably of God and often scripture is included as dialogue.

The point is that in an ocean of profanity and sex, "Touched by an Angel" is an island of beauty.

CBS is broadcasting two new episodes, back to back, Saturday night at 8 and 9 p.m. Eastern time and another new one Sunday night at 8 p.m. The Sunday night one features Angela Lansbury.

Please spread the word to your friends and write or call CBS to ask them to keep the show. The phone number is 212-075-3247 and the email is [email protected]. Again, phone is 212-975-3247 and email is [email protected]. Strike a blow for good TV by watching "Touched by an Angel" Saturday and Sunday and by contacting CBS. I'm Cal Thomas in Washington.
