The State of the World Should Be No Surprise

Do you ever have the sense that sin is advancing at a more rapid pace than in the past?

The Boy Scouts are allowing openly gay boys as members with gay Scout leaders sure to follow; the expected ruling this month by the Supreme Court on marriage; Los Angeles public school students now have an app that allows them to text each other their HIV status; in New York, public school students have an app that gives them information on birth control and abortion without parental knowledge or consent.

In Friday's Washington Post there was a story about an LGBTQ event that included transgendered Muslims. At an elementary school in Milwaukee, boys were urged to dress as girls and girls as boys in observance of transgender day.

For the follower of Jesus of Nazareth, this should be no surprise. The world is fallen. It "invents ways of doing evil," as Paul writes. No human force can reverse this and yet for those who are believers, the day of the trumpet's sound draws ever closer.

I'm Cal Thomas in Washington.
