The President Gets Facebook’s Crowd

The President Gets Facebook’s Crowd

April 22, 2011

President Obama wants to reinvigorate his base of youthful disciples who helped get him elected with 52 percent of the vote in 2008. Wednesday he was at Facebook headquarters in northern California and the crowd was joyful. You might think they were celebrating Easter. Oh, the president held something billed as an “Easter prayer breakfast” and said that the resurrection “puts everything in perspective.” There’s an insight I hadn’t heard before.

Once again at Facebook, the president took a swipe at the rich. Polls show young people want to soak the rich. They are uninformed if they do. The more the successful pay to government in taxes, the fewer young people they will be able to hire. Besides, soaking the rich doesn’t balance the budget. Cutting spending does.

When are people going to wake-up to the phony baloney they are being sold by this president? He is hiding a hard-left agenda and trotting out the old class warfare playbook. It’s time for a change. And that would be change we really can believe in.
