Spiritual Shoplifting: Obama and Stem Cells

March 11, 2009

Slowly, like peeling an onion, the few restrictions on what we can do with human life are being removed. First, abortion. Euthanasia is in its early stages. On Monday, embryonic stem cell research.

President Obama says his “faith” instructs him in such things, to do good for others and so forth. But what “faith” is he talking about? Is it faith in God, or just faith in faith? God has something to say about knowing us before we were knit together in our mother’s womb, but apparently what God has to say on the subject is not as important as what Obama says.

Don’t you find it peculiar how some on the left invoke faith and their fellow liberals remain silent? When a conservative Christian mentions faith or God, he is told he is in danger of violating church-state separation. Obama and the Democrats are engaging in spiritual shoplifting. They want the benefits of faith without paying the price.

Science is now god. Science will be allowed to do whatever science wishes no matter the consequences. And the downward spiral continues. But cheer-up. Everything is right on schedule.
