Some Respond to Attack in Disturbing Ways

What's the other side saying and doing during our national crisis? I'm speaking of the liberals. Many are on board, at least superficially, praising America and waving the flag. But not Rep. Barbara Lee, Democrat of Berkeley, Calif. She's the only member of Congress to vote against a resolution authorizing the president to use force to respond to the terrorists.

Here's what some students in her district are saying. A 15-year-old: "It didn't happen in Oakland, so I don't feel scared or nothing. Why should I go fight in a war and die for nothing?" A 17-year-old: "I'm not risking my life for that. I love myself too much. If they came after me I would have to run." Another 15-year-old: "How are you going to defend a nation if that nation can't defend against things like homelessness? I'm not in a rush to help our country because our country is already messed up."

Monday night, liberal professors at the University of North Carolina gathered to blame America for the attacks. Just thought you'd like to know.
