Just before Christmas, the new congressman from Dearborn, Michigan and the first Muslim in Congress, Keith Ellison, told an enthusiastic crowd that Muslims should remain steadfast in their faith and push for justice.
“You can’t back down. You can’t chicken out. You can’t be afraid. You got to have faith in Allah, and you’ve got to stand up and be a real Muslim.”
Many in the crowd shouted in Arabic, “God is great.” Ellison will take his oath of office next month with one hand on the Koran.
Criticize any of this, as Virginia republican Congressman Virgil Goode did recently, and you are labeled a bigot. But ask yourself: if you want to destroy America, what would you do? Would you heavily Infilitrate the country with people who oppose u.s. policy in the middle east? Would you build mosques like Starbuck’s franchises in small towns and in big cities? Would you elect Muslims to local, state and national office? Would you reproduce at rates far higher than Christians and Jews so that the demographics begin to work in your favor? Would you? Wouldn’t they? Aren’t they?
