Sheehan Looks for a New Kind of Peace

May 30, 2007

Cindy Sheehan has resigned from the peace movement. This national irritant exploited the death of her son --  who by the way volunteered to fight in Iraq -- had become an embarrassment and a disgrace.

After being used by the democrats to promote their surrender agenda, Sheehan, she now says she can’t trust the democrats anymore than the republicans.

In a letter posted on a liberal blog she criticizes the so-called “Peace Movement,” saying, “I have also tried to work within a peace movement that often puts personal egos above peace and human life… I’m going to take whatever I have left and go home. I am going to go home and be a mother to my surviving children and try to regain some of what I have lost.”

Among the things she lost is her husband, who quit the marriage because Sheehan cared more about her political objectives than about him. Let’s hope Cindy Sheehan is able to achieve peace in her heart, because she has been nothing but trouble while meddling in politics.
