Robertson's Comments on China Raise Questions

I offer the following without much comment, except to note that Pat Robertson has business and television interests in China.

Appearing on CNN Monday night, the host of CBN's The 700 Club was asked about China's forced abortion policy. He replied: "Well, you know, I don't agree with it, but at the same time they've got 1.2 billion people and they don't know what to do. If every family over there was allowed to have three or four children, the population would be completely unsustainable. So I think right now they're doing what they have to do."

Robertson also told Wolf Blitzer that the United States should not interfere with China's policy.

Last year, Robertson hosted on his TV show an official from the Chinese Embassy in Washington and agreed with him that the Falun Gong is a cult. He effectively endorsed China's harsh treatment of the group.

What is going on here? As we say on the FOX News Channel, "We report, you decide."
