Orchestrated Condemnation

The line from certain spokespersons for Arab causes in this country is that they and Islamic clerics have condemned the September 11 attacks on the United States. But notice that these condemnations are carefully orchestrated, something like the ones issued by Yasser Arafat and his bunch who are responsible for the attacks on Israeli civilians in the Middle East.

Our enemies have studied our ways. They appeal to freedom, while supporting Islamic regimes that enslave their people, especially women. They trot out people who issue statements generically attacking terrorism, but notice that no Islamic cleric from the region has come to the United States to apologize for the attack. Neither has there been a change in the sermons from mosques all over the Arab world in which Jews, Christians and America are condemned and branded the enemies of Allah.

Franklin Graham has been saying things like this lately and he is right. Maybe that's why he is being labeled an Islamaphobe and a right-wing extremist. He must be on to something. I'm Cal Thomas in Washington.
