Nickelodeon's New Agenda

You've probably heard of the kids cable network called "Nickelodeon." Mostly it seems to be about harmless and quality entertainment for children.

But Nickelodeon's news division may be about to change that perception. Lucky Duck Productions, whose president, Linda Ellerbee, used to be with NBC News, is preparing a series of interviews with kids for Nickelodeon that appears designed to advance the notion that homosexual practice is ok and to oppose it is bigotry and intolerance.

Here are some of the interview questions kids will be asked: What religion are you? What kind of values are important to you? What do you think about homosexuals - do you think it is morally wrong to be a homosexual? Why or why not?

"Many kids these days are growing up in families that are non-traditional (have 2 moms, or 2 dads) - what do you think about that? Many schools are bringing issues about homosexuality and diversity into classrooms - do you think these kinds of things should be taught in school? There's much more, but you get the drift. Watch for it, coming soon, on Nickelodeon. I'm Cal Thomas in Washington.
