The double standard by which the big media treat people and groups they like or dislike has been known for some time.
So it will be interesting to see if they give James Lee the same treatment they give, say, Glenn Beck. Lee was killed Wednesday after seizing hostages at the Discovery Channel headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland.
Lee was an environmental extremist. He thought humans were parasites, civilization is filth and — get this — his inspiration was Al Gore's book An Inconvenient Truth.
Now you know what the reaction of the big media would be if someone had behaved like this inside the office of Barney Frank and said he was inspired by Beck or Rush Limbaugh?
The media are also fascinated by the wealthy Koch brothers and their gifts to conservative causes. These men supposedly are a danger to America. But what about George Soros, the billionaire contributor to left wing causes? Not a threat, according to the media.
That's the way the media play the game.
