Link Between Abortion and Consequences

May 17, 2005

Having an abortion almost doubles a woman's risk of giving birth dangerously early in a later pregnancy.

French researchers conducted the study.

The French study of more than 2,800 births was the first to investigate a connection between abortions and extremely premature births in subsequent pregnancies.

Many babies born less than 28 weeks after gestation die and a large number who survive suffer serious disabilities.

Those of us who are pro-life have for years suspected a link between abortion and a number of other consequences.

This study provides scientific proof that such links exist.

Pro-lifers are asking that women be informed of such problems before they get an abortion.

This is only one piece of information that should be provided women in a full disclose environment.

But so-called "pro-choicers" don't want women to be informed of such things because they view abortion as some kind of sacred act and the baby as less than nothing.

The science and the facts are on the pro-life side.

Now if the law and politics will only follow.
