King's Probe Doesn't Go Far Enough

March 10, 2011

Controversial hearings into the radicalization of Muslims inside America open today on Capitol Hill. New York Republican Congressman Peter King will chair the hearing. The left is in a frenzy about this, raising the specter of Japanese internment camps during World War II and King’s support of the Irish Republican Army in the 1980s.

The hearings are long overdue, but the witness list is insufficient. People with genuine knowledge about the plots and strategies of radical Muslims are not testifying. Is this because the politically correct set has made inroads? We are so reluctant to offend groups that sometimes we won’t probe where a probe is needed.

Is there any doubt we are being infiltrated by people who, in the name of Islam, want to kill us, destroy our economy and way of life? Who doubts that? If no responsible person is in doubt about their objectives, then this hearing ought to spark action to keep us from getting attacked again and rooting out the disease from among us.
